COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah Volleyball's rising fifth year senior
Madelyn Robinson has been named to the 2022 U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team (WCNT), the organization announced Monday morning.
Robinson is one of 38 of the country's top collegiate volleyball players selected to participate and will be coached by a staff of seven. Athletes will train among the best collegiate players in the country, watch the WNT training sessions, study the USA systems, meet with Tokyo 2020 Olympians and be observed by the WNT staff.
The selection marks her first appearance as a member of the USA Collegiate National Team and is Utah Volleyball's third-straight year of having a current student-athlete selected after
Dani Drews had been named to the 2020 and 2021 U.S. Collegiate National Team.
Robinson is coming off a second-straight All-Pac-12 campaign for the Utes in her senior season, as well as her first selection to the AVCA Pacific South All-Region team. Robinson averaged 3.01 kills per set overall in the 2021 season and totaled 340 kills. She totaled seven double-doubles, which included four coming in conference play. During her senior year, Robinson recorded a career high in kills (20), a career high in digs (16) and posted a career high in blocks (5). She reached 10 or more kills in 19 matches this season to aid Utah's offense.
The 2022 Collegiate National Team will train June 19-25 at the National Team Training Center in Anaheim, Calif. Joining Robinson on this year's WCNT are the athletes listed below.
