Standing at 6-9, Carlson led the Raptors to a 20-7 overall record and conference title his senior season after guiding the team to the Minnesota Class AA State Tournament as a junior while averaging 16.0 points and 11.3 rebounds. He was an ace in the classroom as well, earning membership into the National Honor Society during his prep career.
Â
Carlson saw action in 30 games with a pair of starts this past season with the Badgers and helped them win the Big Ten regular-season title going 15-5 in league play and 25-8 overall with a second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament. He made his first career start in the third game of the season against Providence on Nov. 15 before making his first Big Ten start against Michigan State on Jan. 21
Â
The versatile forward saw a limited role his freshman season and only played in seven games before an injury sidelined him for the rest of the year. The Woodbury, Minn., native had a solid start to his collegiate career, scoring 13 points in his debut against Eastern Illinois.
