ROLLIE THE FLOOR GENERAL
With eight games remaining in the regular-season, Utah's
Rollie Worster leads the Pac-12 with a 2.81 assists to turnover ratio – which ranks 20th in the country through games on Jan. 29. Worster's A/TO Ratio in Pac-12 play is also significantly higher, checking in at 3.50 – which is .57 higher than Arizona's Courtney Ramey (2.93). In addition, his 118 assists is good for 18th in the NCAA and third in the Pac-12.
LAST TIME OUT
The Utes had a tough time once again in Eugene last Saturday after they fell to the Oregon Ducks 68-56 to snap their three-game winning-streak. The loss was compounded when
Gabe Madsen left the game with a leg injury just 2:07 into the game. As a team, Utah struggled offensively and shot just 28.1-percent from the field – its lowest field-goal percentage this season. The silver lining would be the Utes committing just six turnovers, which is the lowest this season.
UP NEXT
Utah closes out the weekend with the California Golden Bears on Sunday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m. (MT) for its Salute to Service game. All military, fire, police, rescue and other first responders can redeem tickets at Utah ticket office with their badge or military ID. Dave Feldman and Adrian Branch will have the call on the ESPNU broadcast as the Runnin' Utes go for the season sweep of the Golden Bears for the second time in as many seasons.
LOOKING AHEAD
The following week will be a light one for the Utes as they host the first meeting of the season against Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. (MT) on FS1. Tim Neverett will guide fans through the action that night while Richie Schueller serves as the analyst to close out the three-game homestand for Utah. That Saturday's game will serve as Greek Night as the program welcomes the Utah Greek Life system to the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
