TROUBLE WITH THE FIRS
Heading into Sunday's match-up against Oregon, Utah is just 10-30 all-time against the Ducks and just 2-23 since joining the Pac-12. The Runnin' Utes have lost 11-straight against UO with its last win over the Ducks coming on Dec. 29, 2017, in Eugene – Utah's lone road sweep of the Oregon schools. Meanwhile, the only other win for Utah against Oregon in the Pac-12 era occurred on March 9, 2013, the last game of the regular-season to secure its first and only sweep of the Oregon schools at home.
LAST TIME OUT
The Utes needed some time to get its engine going, but eventually found it late in the first-half and bled into the second-half at the tune of an 18-3 run to separate itself for the 74-47 win over Oregon State on Thursday.
Keba Keita, who made his first-career start in place of the injured
Lawson Lovering, finished with a game-high 18 points and career-high 15 rebounds to go with 3 blocks for his third double-double of the year.
Branden Carlson added a double-double to his name as well, posting 17 points with 10 rebounds to go with one block to bring him one closer to the all-time school record.
UP NEXT
Utah hits the road once again and looks to pick up its first road victory in Pac-12 play this season as well as snap a seven-game skid on the road in conference play beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 24, on the Palouse against Washington State. Ted Robinson and Eldridge Recasner will have the call on Pac-12 Networks as Utah looks to sweep the Cougars in league play for the eighth and final time as members of the Pac-12. The Runnin' Utes will then head to the west side of Washington as it battles the Washington Huskies on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m. (MT) on ESPN2 with Dave Feldman and Corey Williams on the call.
LOOKING AHEAD
Utah will then get a few extra days to recover as it returns home for a one-off game against Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 3, to open a three-game home-stand. Tip-off against CU is slated for 3 p.m. (MT) on Pac-12 Networks.
