MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Utah Football program landed 13 players on the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List, announced today, the most by any team in the Big 12.
Utah's list includes
Cameron Rising (QB),
Micah Bernard (RB),
Mycah Pittman (WR),
Dorian Singer (WR),
Brant Kuithe (TE),
Jaren Kump (OL),
Junior Tafuna (DT),
Connor O'Toole (DE),
Aliki Vimahi (DT),
Lander Barton (LB),
Karene Reid (LB),
Alaka'i Gilman (S),
Zemaiah Vaughn (CB).
Rising and Kuithe will make their return to the gridiron this fall with a combined 72 career games with 51 starts in a Utah uniform. Kuithe enters the season leading all active FBS tight ends in career receptions (148) and receiving yards (1,882) with Rising coming back as a two-time All-Conference performer that is tied for fifth all-time with 18 career wins as the starter.
Bernard also brings 39 career games with 12 starts to the field, recording 1,208 career rushing yards. Making holes for Bernard and the Utes will be Kump, who has played in 35 games at Utah, starting 17 at every position on the offensive line (7 at RT, 5 at C, 3 at LT, 1 at RG, 1 at LG).
At wide receiver, both Pittman and Singer will be weapons for Rising to use each game. Singer has played in 29 career games in Power football, including in 17 games at Arizona (2021-22) and 12 games at USC (2023), earning All-Pac-12 in 2022 at Arizona.
On the defensive line, Tafuna, O'Toole and Vimahi will cause chaos for opposing offensive lines this fall with a combined 110 games with 57 starts. Tafuna headlines the group as a three-time All-Pac-12 defensive tackle, earning spots on the Lombardi, Chuck Bednarik, Bronko Nagurski and Outland Trophy award watch lists.
At the linebacker spot, Reid and Barton will be holding down the front seven for the Utes with both earning a spot on the Butkus Award Watch List. Reid is a two-time All-Pac-12 selection with 35 career games and 31 starts while Barton enters his junior year with 21 career games and 10 starts.
Rounding out Utah's Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List selections is Vaughn and Gilman, who bring years of Power football experience to the field. After starting his time at Utah as a walk-on, Vaughn has played in 44 games with 24 starts while Gilman joins the Utes for the first time this fall after playing in 32 games at Stanford from 2020-23.
