Another Split Weekend Awaits Utah Track & Field

The Utah track & field team will have another split squad weekend between the Husky Classic and Don Kirby Invitational.
SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track & field team will once again have another split squad weekend with the distance team competing at the Husky Classic while the sprints squad heads to the Don Kirby Invitational this Friday and Saturday.

The distance squad will send 17 competitors back to the Emerald City, this time for the Husky Classic inside the Dempsey Indoor. Of the 17, Emily Martin will pull double-duty for the Women of Utah as she competes with the DMR squad on Friday in Seattle before heading to the ABQ to join the sprints squad.

This weekend will also be Utah's last opportunity in the regular-season to record a qualifying time for the NCAA Indoor Championships. Its final opportunity will take place in the LBK when Texas Tech plays host to the Big 12 Indoor Championships (Feb. 28 – March 1).
