GUANGZHO, China – Former Utah track & field All-American
Josefine Eriksen helped Norway earn a spot in the 2025 World Athletics Championships this weekend at the World Athletics Relays held inside Guangdong Olympic Stadium.
Eriksen ran the opening leg for Norway on Saturday with a split of 52.34 – which was the third fastest among the women running the opening leg. The Norwegians would finish third in their heat with a season-best mark of 3:26.61. That run would ultimately be good for fourth-overall and earned them an automatic qualifying spot at the World Athletics Championships later this year based on time.
On Sunday, Eriksen and her teammates ran a national record time of 3:25.35 – which was good for fourth-overall in the 4x400m relay finals.
Fellow Ute teammate, Dinedye Denis, was also on hand competing with Côte d'Ivoire as part of the 4x100m relay team.
