SALT LAKE CITY – The newest addition to the University of Utah women's soccer roster is goalkeeper
Alexa Malaspina, who officially joined the program on Wednesday.
Malaspina began her college career in 2024 with UC Colorado Springs, where she made 17 starts and posted a 10-5-2 record. She ended six of those starts with a clean sheet, including a shutout of No. 11 Tampa on Sept. 15. After back-to-back starts in which she made nine saves and allowed just a single goal, Malaspina earned RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors on Oct. 22. She also owns a resume that includes three all-league selections in high school and a Mission Division CCS Achievement of Outstanding Goalkeeping award.
Alexa is the daughter of Phil and Kimberley Malaspina.
