This Weekend's Fan Experience Rundown

Parking is free for all Utah Baseball home games. Fans may park in Lot 40, Lot 9 or Lot 1. Click here for a parking map. Please note that game parking is not permitted in the neighborhoods South of America First Ballpark or in the lot directly in front of the Salt Lake Sports Complex. Fans can also ride UTA free with a valid game ticket; both the No. 9 and 17 bus routes have stops directly outside America First Ballpark and the TRAX Red Line is close by as well.

Be part of a historic, one in a lifetime event on Friday as the first 500 fans inside the ballpark can claim a commemorative baseball with the logo for Charlie Monfort Field at America First Ballpark. Then, come back on Saturday as the first 500 fans can pick up a special pennant with the ballpark logo.
Both on Friday and Saturday, the first 100 fans to pass through the gates can pick up a food truck voucher as well.
All promotional giveaway items can be picked up at the marketing table on the concourse behind home plate.
Postgame on Sunday, kids are invited to come down on the field to run the bases.

The First Pitch: Things to Know

The debut of Charlie Monfort Field at America First Ballpark is finally here. The $38 million project broke ground in Summer 2024 and will host live game action for the first time this weekend as Utah hosts Grand Canyon for a four-game series.
Jake Long currently has the hot bat heading into the GCU series, riding a five-game hitting streak and recording an RBI in each of those contests. In two of those games, Long shined with three RBIs to help Utah secure wins.
Relief pitcher Dillon Fine played a crucial role on Monday at LMU, shutting down the Lions while Utah took care of business offensively. Fine pitched 3.1 shutout innings, striking out four. He finished second on the weekend on Utah's pitch velocity leaderboard, reaching a top speed of 93.8 mph.
Cameron Gurney has been a major focal point in Utah's offense this year. The first baseman leads the team in hits (12), RBIs (11), batting average (.333), and on-base percentage (.489). With just one error on the season (.986 fielding percentage), Gurney has also proven to be incredibly effective on the defensive side.
Friday will mark the first home start of the season for Utah ace Colter McAnelly. The junior right-hander out of Cheyenne, Wyoming, is 1-2 this season and looks to continue building on an All-Big 12 season a year ago. In 2025, McAnelly had 92 strikeouts to rank fourth all-time at Utah for a single season.
In Monday's game versus LMU, the contest flipped in the top of the eighth inning. Utah scored 11 runs in that inning alone — its most in a single inning since April 14, 2017, vs. California. The first five runs came via walks or hit-by-pitches on full counts. In just six batters, the score shifted from Utah trailing 4-2 to leading 7-4. The remainder of the inning included RBIs from Daniel Arambula, Cal Miller, Jet Gilliam, Matt Flaharty, and Luke Jacobs, bringing the inning total to 11 runs on just four hits.
