Jarvis Joins Utah Men’s Tennis as Assistant Coach

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah men's tennis head coach Roeland Brateanu is excited to announce Reid Jarvis as assistant coach coming into the 2026-27 season.
"Reid is the perfect man to step into the big shoes Graeme left," Brateanu said. "He played No. 1 for us, was an unbelievable team captain, is still playing doubles on tour and has respect from our young team. He has great energy and will fit right into this new world of college athletics. We are super excited to have him join our staff."
Jarvis returns to the program after spending a year playing on tour. Prior to that, Jarvis played the 2024-25 season with the Utes and led the team with 22 total wins. He finished with an 11-8 singles record to lead Utah in singles victories while also going 11-8 in doubles play.
In doubles, Jarvis partnered with Dante Teramo to earn 10 wins, all at the No. 1 spot in the lineup. The duo finished the season ranked No. 67 nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association after reaching as high as No. 52.
"I couldn't be more excited to be joining the coaching staff," Jarvis said. "From playing under Roeland and Sten, to now joining them is an honor. The team is motivated and dedicated to prove something."
Jarvis earned CSC Academic All-District honors during his graduate season at Utah and opened the year unbeaten through his first eight matches, including six victories.
Prior to Utah, Jarvis competed at Drake, where he was a two-time All-Summit League selection. He earned all-conference honors in 2021-22 and again in 2022-23, when he finished with a 15-7 singles record and went a perfect 5-0 in league competition.
