• Utah moved to 3-8 all-time against USF. The Utes and Dons played for the first time since 1998, but it was USF’s first win over the Utes since 1976.
• Junior David Collette scored Utah’s first two points for the second straight game. It was just Collette’s second game of the season.
• Utah shot 46 percent from the field on 12-of-26 shooting (2-of-6 from downtown), while USF shot 47 percent on 14-of-30 from the field, which included going 7-of-14 from three-point range.
• Both teams combined for 21 turnovers (USF 11, Utah 10), but the Utes managed to outscore the Dons 15 to 5 in points off turnovers.
• After leading 31-29 late in the first half, the Utes were outscored 9-4 over the final 2:51.
• Collette led the Utes at the break with 12 points, surpassing his previous season-high of 11 points that he scored last Saturday against PVAMU.
• Sophomore Sedrick Barefield came off the bench and scored 10 points (3-of-4 FG, 3-of-4 FT) for the Utes in the first half.
• Utah trailed by as many as 15 points, down 68-53 at the 10:43 mark, before going on an 11-0 run over the next 3:07.
• USF finished the contest making 16-of-28 (.571) three-pointers – a season-high for an opposing team against the Utes this season.
• Barefield finished the game with 35 points, which marks not only a new season-high for the sophomore, but a new season-high for any Utah player this season. Previous high mark was 23 points from junior Kyle Kuzma in Utah’s season-opener.
• Barefield is the first Utah player to score at least 35 points in a game since Keith Van Horn registered 40 points against TCU back on Feb. 15, 1997.
• Collette finished with 18 points and three rebounds, while junior Tyler Rawson posted nine points and nine boards.
