Crimson Council (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee)
The Crimson Council serves as a liason between the administration and the student athletes. It provides a means for athletes to have a voice in the departmental policies and NCAA rules. Members include representatives from each team who disseminate meeting information to their respective teams. In addition to addresstion the student athlete concerns, the committee also participates in community service activities.Â
Mission StatementÂ
The University of Utah’s Crimson Council, also known as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), mission is to promote effective communication between student athletes and administrators to address issues, provide input regarding campus and PAC 12 conference legislation, and supply a voice for the student-athlete community. In addition, Crimson Council’s purpose is to foster a positive student-athlete image and provide student-athletes with advanced life skills. 
Vision
- Promote effective communication between student athletes and administrators
- Provide a forum for discussion to improve student-athlete experience
- Enhance a positive student-athlete image and support from peers through campus and community activities
- Work to serve the local community through service and sportsmanship
- Build sense of community within athletics
