2016: Started six games … allowed just three goals in 482 minutes for a goal-against average of 0.56 … 18 saves gave her a save percentage of .857 … first collegiate start was a shutout of in-state rival Utah State … also notched shutout in first Pac-12 start vs. Washington with career-high five saves … picked up shutout vs. UC Irvine, matching career-high with five saves … saw first action as a Ute in win over Weber State … earned win at North Dakota State
Prior to Utah: A Deseret News two-time First Team All-State goalkeeper, she helped Timpanogos reach the 4A state title game in three-straight seasons. For her efforts, she was named Team MVP twice.
Nelson's club team Celtic Storm, earned the state title the last five seasons and she was a finalist in the 2015 Region IV Championship.
Personal:Â She is the daughter of Eric and Joy and has three siblings, Emily, Holly and Kimberly, with the latter two attending Utah. Nelson plans to major in psychology and was a member of PACK in high school. She enjoys singing, snowboarding and playing guitar.
