Prior to Utah: The Freeway League MVP, Palacios was also named All-CIF and named to the MaxPreps All-State First Team. Palacios was an All-League selection under head coach Steve Harrington at La Habra (Calif.) HS while also earning Scholar Athlete status, the Coaches Award, Whittier Daily News Player of the Year and a spot on the Michelle Carew Classic All-Tournament Team. She batted . 393 as the Highlanders won their third-straight Freeway League championship.
An accomplished travel ball player, she helped USA Athletics capture the Schutt Cup championship as well as a Triple Crown Gold national championship. Palacios' squad was also the 2016 Premier Girls Fastpitch runners-up after capturing the Arizona qualifier championship.
Personal: Alyssa is the daughter of Rene and Janelle Palacios and has a twin, Rene. Earned her bachelor's degree in psychology in May 2021. Was a member of the Forensic Police Fire Academy in high school. She also played tennis and was a member of the Homecoming Court.
