2022: Became the 13th player in program history to be named an All-American being selected to the NFCA Third Team... NFCA First Team All-Region... First Team All-Pac-12... started in all 52 games played... proved to be invaluable on the field starting 14 games in right field, 13 at first base, 8 in center, six in left, six as a DP and one at shortstop... led the team in home runs (11), batting average (.376), slugging % (.709), on-base % (.503) and runs scored (43)... saw career bests in runs scored, hits (53), triples (2), RBI (44), sacrifice flies (5) and stolen bases (11)... put together the longest hitting and reached base streak at 11 and 24 games, respectively, while posting 13 multi-RBI and multi-hit performances... finished the regular season leading the Pac-12 in sacrifice flies and ranked in the top-10 in RBI (9th), walks (4th), runs scored (5th), stolen bases (5th) and on-base percentage (6th)... started her senior campaign with bang, hitting two-home runs in her first two plate appearances against #5 Oklahoma State... was one of two players on the roster to drive in five RBI, taking place at the Judi Garman Classic against Kansas (3/5)... 2021: Third-team All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 Honor Roll selection who started 52 of Utah's 55 games and led the team in home runs (14), RBI (42), slugging percentage (.623) and on-base percentage (.408)... ranked fifth in the Pac-12 in home runs in the regular season... batted .268 (37-138) with five doubles and one triple, and scored 37 runs... 22 walks were second-most on the team... started 29 games at third base, 12 at first base, nine in right field and two at shortstop... season-high three hits came at Cal (4/11) and vs. Seattle (2/13)... had 4 home runs in a 3-game span over two days (Feb. 20-21)... the 4 HRs came in a span of 10 trips to the plate (8 AB, plus 2 walks)... was hit by a pitch in two of her last three at-bats that day to finish the game 1-2.
2020: Pac-12 All-Academic selection… started all 18 games at third base… .380 batting average with 50 at bats, 19 hits, 12 runs, and a team-best 5 home runs… led the team with a slugging percentage of .740… team-best .523 on-base pct. among starting players, aided by team-high 14 bases on balls earned… a .955 fielding percentage with 10 putouts… 54 assists and 0 errors during the season.
2019: Easton/NFCA Division 1 Scholar Athlete ... started every game, playing outfield, first base, third base and shortstop ... smacked a career-high four hits vs. South Dakota ... had 10 multi-hit games and collected her first against Kansas ... cranked 11 doubles, her first vs. Tennessee ... picked up first collegiate triple vs. California ... hit five home runs, one each against Duke, Cal twice, Arizona State and Stanford ... drove in a career-high three runs vs. Cal ... had four other multi-RBI games ... had five games where she scored multiple runs (Niagara, Cal twice, ASU and Stanford) ... walked three times in a contest with ASU ... stole three bases, one each against Grand Canyon, SIUE and BYU.
Prior to Utah: Bonstrom batted .495 and smacked 11 home runs for Canyon Del Oro High School as it won the 4A state title. She was named first-team all-state and earned the 2016 and '17 Offensive Awards as well as Arizona Hitter of the Week.

The No. 4 rated player in the state of Arizona by MaxPreps.com, Bonstrom led her club team, Oro Valley Suncats Judge, to a Premier Girls Fastpitch Shootout championship, which earned it the No. 1 ranking in the country.

Personal: Ellessa is the daughter of Peggy and Bruce Bonstrom and has two siblings, Kayla and Cory. Kayla played softball at Stanford and was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year before capturing all-academic and all-conference honors.

Ellessa, a National Honor Society member, is majoring in information systems and would like to become an interior designer or work in real estate.
