Utah Lacrosse alum Jimmy Perkins will begin his fifth season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2026. Perkins played at Utah from 2019-20 after starring for Robert Morris from 2017-18.
As a player Perkins saw action in 18 games for the Utes, starting all six in a COVID shortened season in 2020. He led the Utes in goals (18), finishing second in points with 21 (3 assists). He scored a season-high four goals against Bellarmine and Jacksonville in 2020, scoring a goal on every shot he took against Jacksonville.
In 2019, the Pittsburgh, Pa., native scored 24 goals with 31 points (7 assists), ranking 12th in the NCAA with seven man-up goals. He scored a career-best six goals against Hartford that season, also scoring the first goal in Utah Lacrosse history against Vermont.
Perkins played at Robert Morris from 2017-18 after sitting out two seasons due to injury (2015-16). He earned second-team all-conference in 2018 after starting all 18 games, leading the program with 61 points (31 goals, 30 assists).
He set the school record for single-season assists (30), also ranking third in program history in single-season points (61). Perkins led Robert Morris to the Northeast Conference Tournament title in 2018 with the program advancing to the NCAA Tournament that year.
Perkins received his undergraduate degree in business management from Robert Morris.
