Upcoming Event: Soccer versus LSU on September 7, 2025 at 1 p.m.

Zeb Callahan, MS, LAT, ATC, NASM-CES, enters his second year as the athletic trainer for the University of Utah gymnastics program.Â
Callahan joins the Red Rocks after a two-year stint at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., where he primarily worked with 72 student-athletes between the women’s soccer and baseball teams. Callahan also provided cross-coverage of the other 450 student-athletes across 19 NCAA sports while at Lynn University. He incorporated a multifaceted approach to sports medicine with a team of physicians, therapists, and other athletic trainers to provide care, management, prevention, treatment, evaluation, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Callahan brings experience specific to gymnastics, working for USA Gymnastics as an independent contractor. He has provided coverage for multiple U.S. Gymnastics Championships with artistic, acrobatic, and rhythmic gymnasts, along with trampoline and tumbling athletes as well. Additionally, Callahan has served as an athletic trainer at multiple Acrobatic World Team Trials, the Aere World Cup for trampoline and tumbling, and the 2021 Olympic Team Trials.
Prior to his time at Lynn University and work with USA Gymnastics, Callahan was the primary athletic trainer for men’s soccer, baseball, and men’s and women’s tennis at Ouachita Baptist. During this time, he assisted athletes through physicals and screenings, and addressed mental health concerns with the teams.Â
After earning his undergraduate degree, Callahan was a graduate assistant at Fort Hays State University. He was the host athletic trainer for the men’s soccer NCAA Regional Tournament (2018), the men's soccer MIAA/GAC conference tournament (2019), and the wrestling Super Regional (2020).
Callahan is a graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. After his time with the Cyclones, he earned a master’s degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration on Sports Administration from Fort Hays University.
