WAC Tournament News
The Utes are out of WAC Tournament contention ranking 10th in
conference. Only six of the eleven teams travel to the tournament and
Rice and TCU are the only teams thus far to have clinched tournament
berth. The weekend will decide the remaining four contenders. The
BYU-Utah series plays little on the decision however as the Utes have
already fallen to UNLV, Hawaii and Fresno State, the teams vying for
the sixth place slot. The WAC Tournament will be hosted by Fresno
State May 19-22 in Fresno, Calif.
Scouting Brigham Young
The Cougars are 24-30 with a 10-16 WAC record. Brigham Young is
currently ranked ninth in the WAC, and will consequently be knocked
out of WAC Tournament contention. This season, the Utes are 0-2
against the Cougars losing two non-conference games 9-2 earlier in
the year.
