SALT LAKE CITY - Utah basketball coach Rick Majerus will be the guest conductor of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch of the Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, August 10. The first pitch is at 1:20 p.m. (CDT).
Leading fans in the singing of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" was a long-time duty of legendary Cubs' broadcaster Harry Caray. The tradition has been carried on by Chicagoland and national celebrities since Caray's death prior to the 1998 season. Majerus is joined on this season's roster of guest conductors by Muhammad Ali, national champion UConn head coach Jim Calhoun, ESPN's Dan Patrick, Isiah Thomas, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Kenny Rogers, to name a few.
