SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah Men's Tennis team concluded a weekend on the road dropping two matches in consecutive days to Oregon and Boise State. The Utes fell to the Ducks on Jan. 28, five games to two. Utah picked up its two points with singles wins by senior Trevor Ferguson and freshman Daniel Carlsson. Ferguson won in three sets, 6-7, 6-2, 6-2, over Leslie Eisinga. Carlsson downed his opponent in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.
On Jan. 29, Utah was swept by the host Boise State University, 7-0. However, the Utes did manage to win one doubles match as Ferguson and Kevin Zenger defeated Rio Kuharski and Andrew Roumieh, 8-4.
The Utes don't hit the court again until Feb. 7 when they travel to Arizona to play back-to-back matches against Arizona and Arizona State.
