Four Utes Named To All-MWC Baseball Team

SALT LAKE CITY - Four Utah baseball players were named to the all-Mountain West Conference first and second teams. Sophomore Nate Weese was named the first team all-conference first baseman, junior Sam Swenson was named the first team all-conference centerfielder and sophomore Brit Pannier was named the first team all-conference designated hitter. Junior Mike Goff was named the second team all-conference third baseman.

Utah placed the second most players on the all-conference first team, conference champion New Mexico had four.

The Utes begin the first day of the Mountain West Conference Championship today with a game against No. 3 seed Brigham Young. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be played at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev.
