SALT LAKE CITY - Former Ute center Nate Althoff has made the roster for the Utah Jazz summer camp, scheduled to open July 16 at Franklin Covey Wellness Center.
Althoff is one of 17 players the Jazz invited to the workouts. Following the four-day camp, the roster will be trimmed down with the remaining players participating in the Rocky Mountain Review at Salt Lake Community College from July 20-28.
Althoff, a 6-11, 265-pound center from Delano, Minn., was named to the Dallas Mavericks summer league roster last week. He will play with Dallas in the 32nd Annual Summer Pro League at Long Beach State University this week before joining the Jazz.
Last season with the Utes, Althoff averaged 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He also shot 61.2 percent from the field and had 18 blocked shots, playing in all 31 games. Alhtoff finished his career ranked first in field goal percentage (.608) and fifth in blocked shots (92) at Utah.
