SALT LAKE CITY--Utah pitcher Cheyenne Rushton was named Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 25. The right handed Rushton threw a three-hit shutout to record his first win of the season and help the Utes defeat Southern Utah, 5-0, last week. The West Jordan, Utah native (Salt Lake CC) faced 31 batters in the complete game and struck out six, while not giving up a walk.

On the season, Rushton has a 2.63 ERA with 16 strikeouts in five appearances and two starts. This is the first time Rushton has received Pitcher of the Week honors.
