The University of Utah men's tennis team will kick off a two match road trip by traveling to San Diego, Calif., to take on the University of San Diego on mon., Mar. 11. On Tues., Mar. 12, the Utes take on USC in Los Angeles, Calif. Utah returns home to play host to Cal State Sacramento on Fri., Mar. 15 at the Eccles Tennis Center at 1:00 p.m.

The University of Utah men's tennis team faced the University of Denver on Fri, Mar. 8th at the Sports Mall. Utah downed Denver 6-1 as Head Coach F. D. Robbins coached his 400th match at Utah. The Utes move to 8-5 on the year and remains undefeated at home (5-0).
In singles competition, senior Dave Mercier downed Denver's Magnus Ramfelt (6-4, 7-5) at the one position. Denver's Urban Ljubic defeated senior Corrie Scheepers (2-6, 6-1, 6-1) at the two. At the three position, senior Nik Yip beat Denver's Jay Patel (6-3, 6-3). Daniel Carlsson downed the Pioneers' Hans Peter Gaber (6-4, 6-4), Tyler Poulsen defeated Denver's Jason Tan (6-2, 6-4) and Tobias Tangberg beat Denver's Trevor Young (6-7, 6-4, 6-3).
In doubles competition, Mercier/Yip defeated Denver's Young/Ljubic (8-0) at the one. Carlsson/Poulsen beat Denver's Ramfelt/Patel (8-4) and the Pioneers' Gaber/Tan defeated Scheepers/Tangberg (9-8).

The University of Utah will play host to Idaho State on Wed., Mar. 27th, then will head to Ogden, Utah to take on Weber State on Fri., Mar. 29th.
