SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah downed Idaho State University 6-1 at the Eccles Tennis Center on Wed., 27. Utah pushed its record to 10-7 and remains undefeated at home (7-0). The Utes will travel to Ogden, Utah to face Weber State on Fri., Mar. 29.
In singles, Corrie Scheepers downed ISU's Vascio Devidze (6-1, 6-1) at the one position. At the two, Daniel Carlsson beat ISU's Hestian Stoica (6-3, 4-6, 7-6). Tyler Poulson defeated ISU's Adam Krupp (7-5, 6-0) at the three. ISU's Butch Stavridis beat Daniel Lohff (6-4, 6-4), Tobias Tangberg downed ISU's Chris Sadek (6-0 ,6-0) and Kaisorn Chaichana defeated ISU's Mike Chester (6-1, 6-1).
In doubles, Poulson/Carlsson downed ISU's Krupp/Stoica (8-6) at the one. Mercier/Englebrecht defeated ISU's (8-2) at the two and Scheepers/Lohff beat ISU's Chester/Sadek (8-2).
