Esmay Insights
"Playing San Diego State is always a challenge. They have the most depth and the best pitching staff in the conference. We need to keep swinging the bat well, play strong defense and have strong pitching performances to challenge them."

Mitch Maio (4-1-3) picked up his fourth win of the season after tying his career high of 11strikeouts in a complete game effort against UNLV last weekend. The senior right hander, who picked up a save the day before against UNLV, was named Pitcher of the Week for his performance on the mound.

Career Clips
Nate Weese is Utah's new career hits leader. Weese has 242 hits as of Mar. 28 and still has a lot of season to boost that number. The senior first baseman needs just four more home runs to tie the career record of 46. Adam Castleton needs two doubles and two triples to tie the Ute career doubles and triples records.
