Utah's Westmoreland Named MWC Pitcher of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah righthander Clay Westmoreland, a sophomore from Mesa, Ariz. (Mountain View HS), has been named Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 17-23.
In Utah's win over No. 19 Texas A&M, Westmoreland pitched five of seven innings as the Utes upset the Aggies 4-1 in College Station, Texas. He struck out four batters and allowed just two hits and one earned run over five innings before teammate Ben Buck closed out the game's final two innings.
Westmoreland is now 1-1 on the season.
