TEMPE, Ariz. - Utah baseball players Brett Sundberg, Wick Udy and Jared Pena have been named to the all-tournament team at the Bob Schaeffer Memorial Classic at Arizona State. The Utes (7-8) went 1-2 at the tournament, falling just short of an upset over the No. 3 Sun Devils.
Sundberg, a sophomore designated hitter, went 5-for-8 on the weekend with four runs scored, two doubles and a home run. He posted a .625 batting average over two games.
Udy, the catcher, was 5-for-13 at the tournament two RBI. He hit .385 on the three games.
Second baseman Pena was spectacular in the field, making 16 fielding assists. At the plate, he went 3-for-8 with three doubles for a .375 batting average. He also scored two runs.
