SALT LAKE CITY - Game one of the three-ame series between Utah and Brigham Young was postponed due to snow with one out in the top of the third. The Cougars are up 4-2.
The game will be completed at 7 p.m. tomorrow, March 28. The two teams will then play a twinbill beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 29.
With two outs in the first, BYU scored three runs off two base hits, two walks and a double.
Utah answered in the bottom of the second when sophomore Matt Ciaramella singled to right field and advanced to second when junior Eric Chevalier reached on a base on balls. Senior Mike Basham then tripled, driving in two runs.
Just before the game was called, the Cougars scored again when the lead-off batter walked and was brought home on a double by Kainoa Obrey.
