SALT LAKE CITY - The Runnin' Utes are looking for individuals who understand what it takes to be a winner.
The Ute coaching staff will conduct walk-on tryouts at the Jon M. Huntsman Center both Oct. 20 and 21. The tryouts will begin at 6:00 a.m. and conclude at 8:00 a.m. on both days.
Walk-on candidates must complete the NCAA and MWC forms, and turn them in to Doug Archie, assistant A.D. for compliance, before Oct. 20. Archie's office is located in the Burbidge Family Athletics Academic Center, across from the Huntsman Center.
Candidates must meet five criteria.
1) Be a full-time student of the Universtiy of Utah. (12 credit hours per semester)2) Be in good academic standing!3) Be available for all practices. Practice starts at 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.4) Be in great shape! (Must have physical on file with the athletics department.)5) Love the game of basketball.
