At The Plate
Utah looks to get back to its winning ways this weekend as it travels to Fresno, Calif., for the Clovis Auto Row Softball Classic. If the Utes are to do so, they'll have to do it against four ranked opponents. The Utes (6-11) face No. 18/25 Oregon State on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Later that afternoon, Utah battles No. 25/26 Long Beach State. On Saturday, Utah opens play at 11:00 a.m. against No. 1/1 UCLA. The Utes match up against No. 15/17 Fresno State, the tournament host, that afternoon. Utah concludes the tourney with a bout versus North Texas at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. The higher ranking of the two polls-ESPN.com/USA Softball and USA Today/NFCA-is listed first.
On Deck
The Utes head to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the Hawaii Invitational, March 18-20.
Quoting Head Coach Mona Stevens
"We really struggled to get things going last weekend. The coaching staff told the team last weekend was something we are going through rather than who we are. We need to believe and remember our ability.
"We play four top 25 teams this weekend, which will prove to be a difficult task or instead one that makes us step up to the challenge."

Only three of those hitters are batting above .300 in the losses, with the rest of the team hitting below .201. Despite the struggles, Utah's Glennis Donnelly still leads the league with a .453 average, while Devina Quintero has knocked in a league-best 18 runs.
