COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Utah shortstop Glennis Donnelly has been named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week . Donnelly boasted an impressive .769 percentage at the plate last weekend, after going 10-of-13 against three ranked opponents and Hawai'i at the Hawaii Invitational. The senior knocked three home runs and a double, while driving in five runs and scoring five herself. She was a perfect 3-of-3 at the plate against No. 3 California and No. 21 Texas, and had at least one RBI in each of the four contests. This is the second weekly conference honor of Donnelly's career.
In Utah's first game of the tourney against Cal, Donnelly was a perfect 3-of-3 at the plate. The senior had a single, a double and a two-run homer in the game.
The second game saw Donnelly connect for two hits in three chances against Hawai'i. She ripped her second home run of the tournament and added a single.
Against Northwestern on Friday, Donnelly knocked two singles, one of which drove in a run in the fifth inning.
On Saturday against No. 21 Texas, the senior posted another perfect 3-of-3 day at the plate. She hit her third home run of the tournament and scored three runs in the game.
