The Last Time Out
The Utes began their home season on Tuesday, March 30 when they played host to in-state rival Utah State. Aided by a perfect 3-of-3 day at the plate by Devina Quintero, Utah grabbed a 4-2 victory. Quintero knocked two doubles and a home run in the game, while Kate Nygaard drove in two runs and Brianna Gourdin earned the victory in the circle.
Quoting Head Coach Mona Stevens
"We are so excited to finally play UNLV and San Diego State on our field. The weather has kept us from playing the two teams the past two years at home.
"Our team showed a lot more confidence yesterday against Utah State. It's really nice to be playing at home again."
