LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The University of Utah baseball team was slated to play a doubleheader at UCLA Sunday. But that twinbill was canceled due to unplayable conditions at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
The Utes then picked up a game against Loyola Marymount. But that game was rained out in the middle of the second inning.
Utah is also slated to play a three-game series at Loyola Marymount next weekend. The Utes and Lions will got a quick look at each other prior to that series Sunday, getting one and one-half innings in before the rains came again in southern California.
Utah is 1-6 overall, after picking up its first win of the season Friday against UCLA. Loyola Marymount is 1-3 overall. The Utes and Lions will play their regularly-scheduled three-game series Friday through Sunday.
