SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah softball team will have to wait another week to open the home portion of its schedule as the Tuesday, March 15th date with Southern Utah at Ute Field has been canceled.
The Utes were originally going to play the home opener next week but will push it back to Friday, March 25 when they host Utah Valley State. First pitch at Ute field is slated for 3 p.m.
Utah still plays five games on the road next week. It will play Iowa at Stockton, Calif., on Thursday, March 17th and at a tournament at Stanford on Friday-Saturday, March 19-20.
