Provo, Utah - The University of Utah men's tennis team wrapped up conference play today with a close 4-3 loss to No. 59 New Mexico.
Utah fared well in doubles, earning the one point lead. However, the Utes lost momentum in the singles and ultimately fell to the Lobos.
Zach Ganger defeated Max Jones (6-3, 4-6, 7-5) at No. 2 and Nick Coutts earned a (6-2, 6-3) victory over Kamil Pajkowski at No. 4. Jason Yap picked up Utah's final point by topping Eric Conklin (6-2, 6-2) at No. 5.
The Utes finish the Mountain West season with a 1- 4 record. Next Friday, April 15, Utah concludes the regular season by hosting Northern Colorado at 1:00 p.m.
