SALT LAKE CITY - Utah post player Misha Radojevic underwent surgery on Tuesday morning to repair an ACL tear in his right knee. Radojevic sustained the injury while working out on his own Friday evening following the team's practice.
Radojevic initially injured the ACL last September during preseason workouts. He had his first surgery in October and was progressing well until this recent setback occurred. The Utah medical staff is hopeful Radojevic will be fully recovered when the team begins practice next October.
Before transferring to Utah, Radojevic attended Belgrade Polytechnic Academy for two years over a three-year period and had two years of eligibility remaining. The University of Utah is going through the appeals process with the NCAA to get back the year of eligibility for Radojevic, who was already going to lose this season. Radojevic averaged 12 points and nine rebounds per game while playing in a Serbian amateur league in 2004-05.
