COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The University of Utah saw four of its baseball players honored with all-tournament accolades following the Domino's Aggie Baseball Classic Monday night.
Infielders Bret Baldwin and Ryan Khoury, designated hitter Scott Malone and pitcher Josh Cooper were all placed on the all-tournament squad. The Utes and the host school, Texas A&M, each had four players honored.
Baldwin was Utah's top hitter in the tournament. He batted .600 in four games.
Malone batted .400 over the four games and drove in a team-high four runs during that span. He also hit the team's only home run of the tournament.
Khoury compiled a .389 batting average during the Classic. He had a double and a triple and committed just one error in 29 chances at shortstop.
Cooper opened the tournament on the mound for Utah. He held Missouri State to just one run on seven hits, while striking out five, in a 4-1 Utah victory.
The Utes are off this weekend and return to action March 9-11 at Southern Utah in Cedar City, Utah.
