Upcoming Event: Men's Tennis versus ITA Regionals on October 15, 2025

THIS WEEK:
The University of Utah men's tennis team is looking forward to this week's competition. The Utes will continue conference while playing host to MWC Dual Matches throughout the week and into the weekend. Playing the Utes on Thursday will be BYU. On Friday TCU will challenge Utah, followed by Saturday's competition against the University of New Mexico.
All matches for the Utes are scheduled to play at 1:00 p.m. each day. The competition will be held outdoors at the Snowbird Canyon Club pending weather. If the weather changes, the meets will all be moved indoors to Eccles Tennis Center.
Scouting the opposition:
The BYU Cougars are currently ranked No. 75 by the ITA. Coming into competition they have a 9-15 overall record and a 2-1 conference record this season.
TCU is ranked No. 33 with a 12-8 overall record and going undefeated so far in the conference at 0-3. The Horned Frogs have two players that are currently ranked by the ITA: No. 40 Andrei Mlendea and No. 96 Rafael Abreu.
The New Mexico Lobos start the week with a 10-6 overall record and 0-0 in conference play. The University of New Mexico is also ranked by the ITA at No. 74.
Ute Notes:
The University of Utah is currently ranked No. 56 by the ITA with a 13-7 overall record and a 1-2 record in conference play. The Utes are hoping to step it up and strike some wins within the conference this week. No. 15 Nick Coutts and Zach Ganger will be looking for another good weekend of competition in doubles play.
