SALT LAKE CITY - Utah earned its third-straight sweep of the season on Saturday evening, downing Air Force, 3-0, at Crimson Court.

"We had a nice week, going 3-0," head coach Beth Launiere said. "We were focused and consistent all week, even in practice. This has been a good run for us."
The Utes (10-11, 6-5 MWC) also defeated Utah Valley (3-0) and Wyoming (3-0) in the past week.
Although Utah got off to a bit of a slow start in the first game, the Utes had no problems pulling away from the Falcons to win 30-18. Whitney Webb and Sandberg each had four kills on five attempts for a .800 hitting percentage in the first game.
In game two, the Utes led by as many as five points early, but Air Force rallied to keep the game close. With Utah up by four, 26-22, the Falcons went on a 6-2 run to tie the game, 28-28. Kristina Steward had two kills in the run while Nichole Stilwell tallied a kill and a block assist. However, the Utes came back with kills from Haynie and Keisha Fisher for the final two points and the 30-28 win.
Game three saw Utah pull away early, 7-2, and continue to pull away from there. Air Force came no closer than four points during the remainder of the game. Haynie and Baird each recorded four kills in the final game.
Fisher was also strong for the Utes against the Falcons, recording 21 assists and three kills. Webb hit .375 with eight kills. Connie Dangerfield led the team with 10 digs.
For Air Force, Caroline Kurtz had seven kills and eight digs. Morgan Dolan led the team with 15 digs. Jasamine Pettie tallied six kills and three blocks while Kim Kallabis had 21 assists with seven digs.
