LUBBOCK, Texas -- The College Baseball Foundation has included University of Utah third baseman Jay Brossman in its first Honor Roll of the season.
Brossman had a solid weekend against New Mexico State last week as the Utes took the road series, 2-1. He was 3-for-4, with 5 RBIs and scored a run in Sunday's game, the first time in nearly a year that a Ute had five or more RBIs in a game. Brossman has at least one hit in each game so far this season. The senior leads the club with 9 RBI and 16 total bases.
The College Baseball Foundation (CBF) is dedicated to preserving college baseball history and to recognizing standout teams and individuals who have influenced the collegiate game. The CBF will release a regular National Honor Roll, Feb 13th-May 22nd, saluting the finest performances of the past week's action as nominated by conference and university baseball media contacts.
Each week's honor roll and other information about the CBF can be found on the organization's website: www.CollegeBaseballFoundation.org.
