Utes to Play at SUU, Host Gonzaga
The University of Utah baseball team continues its season-opening, 16-game road trip this weekend. This weekend, the Utes play their first games in the state of Utah, with a three-game set at Southern Utah in Cedar City Thursday-Saturday.
Utah is then scheduled to play its first home games of the season. The Utes are slated to face Gonzaga Monday and Tuesday at Franklin Covey Field. Utah enters this week's action with a 2-11 record. The Utes have lost seven in a row, since taking the final two games of a series at New Mexico State.
Southern Utah opens play this weekend with a 2-14 overall record. The Thunderbirds' two victories are over Utah Valley State and Cal State-Dominguez Hills. Gonzaga (9-8) will play three at BYU this weekend, before traveling to Salt Lake City.
