Utah To Host League-Leading TCU This Weekend
The University of Utah baseball team will wrap up the home portion of its schedule this weekend. The Utes host the league-leading TCU Horned Frogs in a three-game series beginning Friday evening at Franklin Covey Field.
Utah is coming off a series victory over UNLV in Las Vegas. The Utes defeated the Rebels 4-2 and 10-6 Friday and Saturday. But Utah's opportunity for a sweep was thwarted by UNLV on Sunday in an 8-3 decision. The Utes are now 21-22 overall and 9-6 in Mountain West Conference play.
TCU comes into the weekend after hosting Baylor in a non-conference game Tuesday night. The Horned Frogs were 34-10 overall, 15-2 in the MWC and ranked No. 23 by Baseball America.
TCU had won six in a row coming into Tuesday's game, including a sweep of San Diego State last weekend.
