Utah Looks To Rebound Tuesday At The Pit
The University of Utah men's basketball team will play its third game in seven days Tuesday at New Mexico. The Runnin' Utes will be on the road, looking to rebound from back-to-back tough losses. Tuesday's contest between Utah and the Lobos will be aired on The Mtn.
Utah enters Saturday's game with a 10-6 overall record and a 1-2 Mountain West Conference mark. The Utes dropped a 64-56 overtime decision at San Diego State Wednesday night. Utah led 30-20 at the break, but the Aztecs opened the second half with a 14-0 run. The Runnin' Utes then dropped a home contest 55-52 to arch-rival BYU Saturday afternoon.
New Mexico is 15-4 (2-2 MWC) coming into the contest. The Lobos' last outing was a 59-44 home win over Air Force Saturday. Prior to the win over the Falcons, New Mexico had lost back-to-back games, falling at TCU and dropping a home contest to San Diego State. The Lobos opened league play with a 99-92, double-overtime win at Wyoming.
