Softball Diary: On The Road With Kelly and Meghan

Hey, it's us again! We just got back from our second trip... this time to Arizona, which is supposed to be sunny...SIKE! We got some sun on Sunday which was good before we headed back to the snow.
This weekend we had our first airport trip of the year. Ha ha. It's always fun to watch the new girls not know what they are doing. Or to see Haili Squire's bag always weigh in at .5 lbs short of the limit always! If anyone ever needs to borrow any hair products just ask the one with the "Utah Hair" (Haili). Thanks for all the ribbons this weekend Haili, our pony's looked so cute.
We played well this weekend. We continued to battle each team we played by never giving up at the plate, but we just didn't come out with the wins we should have. It was the worst! But on a positive note - we had a team talent show. Everyone showed their hidden talents: Coach A (Amy Hogue) can do back flips like the gymnasts, Coach G (Adrian Gregory) has a weird pinky toe, Kara (Foster) has amazing vocals and sang "Puppy Love", and Dee Dee (Devina Quintero) can do the SPLITS!
The highlight of the weekend off the field for us was going to (Ashley) Smuda's for a team dinner, so much fun! The food was amazing. I heard the desserts rocked. It was awesome to have all the parents, coaches, and players all together. We are such a great group of people that get along super well. Thanks again for having us over Mr. and Mrs. Schwank! My favorite part of the night was watching the video Mrs. Smuda and Frank (Devina's dad) put together. It was so funny! Oh my heck. We laughed for a good hour! The close up on Sharee's face - haha - and watching Kara throw down the ball after we beat Texas State or watching Smuda SPRINT was HILARIOUS!! Our team is so much fun to be around because all the girls have a great sense of humor.
See you again in two weeks after we go to Texas! We have this weekend off. This is Meg and Kel - over and out!
P.S. Staci (Hemingway) and Kara - way to hit a couple BOMBS out this weekend. It was "A..A..A..AMAZING! Chapella!"
