SALT LAKE CITY - With the 2007-08 basketball season winding to a close, season tickets for the University of Utah's 2008-09 men's basketball season will be available beginning Wednesday.
Tickets may be purchased in person at the Rice-Eccles Stadium Ticket Office, over the telephone at 801.581.UTIX or via the Internet at www.UtahTickets.com.
The Runnin' Utes will play an entertaining and challenging home schedule next season. The non-conference slate is highlighted by games vs. Oregon, Gonzaga and California. In addition, Utah will once again play host to all eight of its Mountain West Conference rivals.
As an added benefit of purchasing 2008-09 Utah Men's Basketball season tickets, season ticket-holders will have the opportunity to preorder tickets for the 2010 NCAA West Regional hosted at Energy Solutions Arena.
Season ticket plans in the upper bowl start as low as $100. Lower bowl tickets may be purchased for as little as $275 (with a $125 donation to the Crimson Club).
The Utes lose just one regular contributor from this year's team. Seven of the team's top eight players return next season, along with a highly-regarded recruiting class of five incoming freshmen. Of those five freshmen, two won state championships this past season, two more reached the state semifinals and the other reached a regional championship game. The five Utes-to-be had a combined record of 116-19 this past season.
