MIAMI, Fla. - The No. 5 seed University of Utah men's basketball team held its final preparations for its first-round NCAA Tournament game Friday morning. The Utes tip off against No. 12 seed Arizona at 7:10 p.m. ET, live on CBS.
After letting the players sleep in, the team met and stretched briefly at the hotel. The squad then headed over to AmericanAirlines Arena, only a few blocks from the team hotel, for its designated shootaround time. It was a short session, approximately 20 minutes, before the team came back to the hotel for breakfast. The players were then given the rest of the morning and early afternoon off, before they reconvene for their pre-game meal.
Miscellaneous notes on Utah in the NCAA Tournament
-Utah is 28-20 all-time against Arizona.
-The Utes are 35-29 (.547) all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
-Utah has never been a No. 5 seed in the tournament.
