TEMPE, ARIZ. - The throwers on the University of Utah track and field team competed at the Arizona State Invitational on Friday evening, seeing two athletes finish in the top six to get things going for the Utes. Josefin Berg placed third and Sarah Grimm came in sixth-place out of 24 competitors.
In the preliminaries, Berg had a 187'4" toss to land her fourth-place. Grimm came in fifth-place with a 183'3" toss, and Chasity Toilolo had a toss of 146'11" for 19th-place overall. Only Berg and Grimm advanced to the finals.
In the finals, Berg hit a 192'5" toss for third place in the competition, which ranks third on Utah's outdoor all-time performance list. Berg also owns the second-best mark on the performance list in the hammer (199'4"). Grimm earned sixth-place in the finals after another 183'3" toss.
