SALT LAKE CITY - Coming off a 9-1 victory over Washington State that snapped a 10 game slide on Wednesday, the Utah baseball team faces a tough challenge against No. 1 UC Irvine. The three-game series begins on Thursday, April 23, at 6:00 p.m.

The Anteaters are ranked No. 1 in the country in both the Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball polls. Irvine is coming off a sweep of Oregon earlier this week, winning 9-6 and 7-4. The team is led by a trio of preseason All-American pitchers in Daniel Bibona, Christian Bergman and Eric Pettis. Bibona and Bergman are slated to start against the Utes, facing Brian Budrow and Andrew Wilding.
