SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis program will see former Ute Greg Holmes inducted into the ITA Men's Tennis Hall of Fame announced Curator Dan Magill. The induction ceremony will take place at the 2009 NCAA Championships in College Station, Texas. The Hall Of Fame, located at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga, began in 1983.
A player becomes eligible for election 15 years after their final collegiate match.
Greg Holmes became Utah's first NCAA champion in 1983. As the No. 1 seed, he captured the NCAA Singles Championship in Athens, Ga. and went on to earn All-America honors.
